The Children's Museum of Memphis is a private, nonprofit, 501(c)3 educational organization. Funds are generated by private contributions (52.7%) and earned income (47.3%).
The museum has an annual economic impact of $7.6 million on the local Memphis economy!
Dear Museum Supporter:
Twenty-two years ago a group of four Memphians planted the seeds that bloomed into The Children's Museum of Memphis. Today the museum is receiving national attention as we were voted the number one children’s museum in the South by AAA Southern Traveler Magazine.
Everything is constantly growing and changing at CMOM. In the past year we expanded our hours to serve working parents, opened earlier on Sundays and brought in world-class exhibits like “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”.
In 2011-12 we will expand our “branches” even more by taking outreach programs to more neighborhoods throughout Memphis to inspire and educate all children in our community. We will continue to update our in-house exhibits and offer new experiences to members and guests each time they arrive at the museum. In order to do this, we need your support.
As the museum grows to meet the changing needs of our community's families, our need for your support grows too. This is your opportunity to help plant the seeds for future growth.
