What's the Difference in the
ASTC and ACM
Reciprocal Lists?
Periodically, we receive calls from distressed members
who are traveling and have been denied admission to a museum. The most common reason
is the museum to which they are visiting is an
ACM museum and not an
ASTC museum.
The
Association of Science Technology Centers (ASTC)
list consists of over 250 other museums across the world to which ALL CMOM members are able to receive free or
discounted admission. This list is updated three times per year so it is
important to visit our website to view the most up-to-date list before
traveling.
The
Association of Children’s Museums
(ACM) list consists of over 130 other museums across the U.S. and Canada to
which ONLY those members at the Supporter level or above are able to receive admission. A sticker is affixed to the membership
card to validate entry to one of these museums. This list is updated
periodically.
When
visiting a museum from either of these lists, please remember:
-
You must have
your membership card with you to gain admission.
-
Check the appropriate list to ensure the museum you want to visit is listed.
-
Call the museum before you visit to ensure it is still in the association.
-
Other restrictions may apply; read the disclosures detailed on both of the
lists.
When in doubt, call the membership
office 901-320-3171 Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm.
Bon
Voyage!

NOTICE:
Local Restrictions Apply!
Science centers and museums located within 90 miles of each other are
excluded from this reciprocal admission program - in Memphis
the Pink Palace Museum is excluded! Each institution has its own policy, so call
before you go to get the details. Also, reciprocity extends only to regular
admission - it does not include free admission to additional attractions or
special events. It also does not include museum store discounts.
